AMP SoCal Among Network of Partners Awarded by President Obama

AMP SoCal is proud to be a part of the Smart Manufacturing Leadership Coalition (SMLC) and its winning proposal for the National Network for Manufacturing Innovation (NNMI) manufacturing hub award. SMLC, a consortium of nearly 200 partners including AMP SoCal, is headquartered in Los Angeles and will lead the new Clean Energy Smart Manufacturing Innovation Institute. The award brings over $140 million in public-private investments and will focus on advanced sensors, data analytics, and controls in manufacturing, and reduce costs

Grants Awarded in Initiative to Fill Local Manufacturing Skills Gap

The Managed Career Pipeline Program Seeks to Develop Regional Skilled Labor as Part of the Advanced Manufacturing Partnership for Southern California

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – Tuesday morning, the University of Southern California Center for Economic Development (CED) announced the winning proposals for its Managed Career Pipeline Pilot Program, an initiative designed to strategically invest a portion of more than $336,000 in available federal funds toward workforce development. The program is part of the CED-led Advanced Manufacturing Partnership for Southern California (AMP SoCal)
